boston to new delhi

Somehow I have made it to New Delhi in one piece. Huzzah.

After crying for like, 30 minutes at Logan Airport (saying bye is sad, no matter how excited I am), I made it onto the plane to JFK for a quick layover before my 14 hour flight to New Delhi. Although I did not finish knitting my scarf, I was able to sleep for quite a bit of the flight. As someone who tends to get pretty restless, this long flight was nowhere near as miserable as I was expecting it to be. Landing at 9pm, it was relatively easy to navigate the New Delhi airport. There were signs indicating that foreigners needed to fill out another form (makes sense), but these forms were nowhere to be found. Everyone just miraculously had one already. I luckily found a blank one on the ground. I made it through immigration, and took a taxi to my hotel just 10 minutes away. One of my favorite things about traveling is talking to taxi drivers, so I was happy that my driver was chatty. He was very excited to point out the "Namaste" sign to me.

Had a good breakfast at the hotel and will attempt to wander around outside for a bit. Will be heading to the airport again in 12 hours to fly to Paro, Bhutan!

Overall, I am feeling good and very excited to continue on my journey to Bhutan. It is a bit disorienting to be here in New Delhi for a somehow long yet short period of time. Managed to spend all the rupees I had, which I had expected to use for both my taxi trips. So it goes.
